ABOUT ME
My name is Pete and I’m a London-based motion designer currently working full time in-house at Imperial College London’s Digital Media Lab designing for learning media and digital experiences. Design has always been where I feel most at home, and I’m still slightly amazed that what I used to tinker with for fun has become my career.
Outside of work, I spend a lot of time on personal projects, including the Illumination Archive where I have been creating animated explainers about topics from various fictional universes, as well as exploring fictional UI, experimenting with interactive motion, and refining and expanding my current skillset. My biggest influences have always been science-fiction interfaces and real-world UI systems: everything from Star Trek LCARS and Iron Man HUDs to app design, gaming menus, and everyday digital interactions.
Long term, my dream is to contribute visually to sci-fi or cyberpunk storytelling, be it gaming, film/tv, or any other media. If you’re into, motion design, world building, FUI, or any other intersection of narrative and design, I’d love to connect.
